The object of the game is to get a pair of 10s or better using three cards dealt to the player and two community cards given to the dealer. This game is like playing video poker where you do not play against a dealer, you just try to make the best possible hand from the five cards.

The game is played on a table similar to a blackjack table.
There are three betting circles in front of each player on the
table.
The betting circles are marked with the numbers $, 2 and 1.
To start, each player makes three bets of equal amount (a $5 minimum table requires $15 to start play) and places them on the three bet circles $, 2, 1.
The Bonus bet on the bonus circle is an optional side bet and is normally $1.
The Bet the Buck Side Bet
This is an optional side bet a player can make for a dollar when playing Let It
Ride. In 1995 Shuffle Master created a tournament. Every three months players that qualified by getting a
straight flush or better when they made the side bet were invited to a
million dollar tournament. The tournament has been discontinued but the
side bet can still be made for a bonus payoff when the player receives a
straight or better.
The pay table for the Bet the Buck bonus varies from casino to casino.
| Hand | Payout to 1 |
|---|---|
| Royal flush | 20000 |
| Straight flush | 1000 |
| Four of a kind | 100 |
| Full house | 75 |
| Flush | 50 |
| Straight | 25 |
| Three of a kind | 4 |
| Two pair | 3 |
| High pair | 1 |
Many casinos have placed a second bonus bet that is just like the Pair Plus bet in Three Card poker. It has it's own minimum and maximum limits that are posted on a separate placard on the table. The bet wins with a pair or better. The 3 card bonus bet pays according to an example pay table below and can vary from casino to casino.
| Hand | Payout to 1 |
|---|---|
| Mini Royal | 50 |
| Straight flush | 40 |
| Three of a kind | 30 |
| Straight | 6 |
| Flush | 3 |
| Pair | 1 |
A Shuffle Master machine deals out cards three at a time. The dealer places the three card hand in front of each player. After each player receives his cards the dealer discards one card leaving two cards face down in front of the dealer. The machine deals out the remaining cards into the discard tray. When this is finished the players are then allowed to look at their three-card hand.
A player is not allowed to show or discuss their cards with other players at the table. Each player will be required to keep the three cards face down in full view of the dealer at all times.
At this point the player has the option to take back the bet in circle number 1 (the one on the left) or Let It Ride. To take back the bet the player scrapes his cards on the table and the dealer pushes back the bet. The player is NOT allowed to take back their bets..
After all the players have made their decisions the dealer will turn up the first of the two community cards which is in front of the dealer. This card is used as the fourth card for all the player's hands.
The Player now has the option of taking back the second bet or to Let It
Ride. The player may take back the
second bet even if the first bet stayed but the player cannot take
down or put the first bet back up.
After all the players make their decision for the second bet, the
dealer will turn up the second community card, which completes the
five card hand for every player.
After all the players make their decision for the second bet, the dealer will turn up the second community card. This card completes the five-card hand for every player.
At this point the dealer will turn over the players hands one by one and take losing bets and pay the winning bets according to the pay table printed on the Let it Ride table layout.
