How to play craps. The Pass Line bet.
You place your bet in the pass line box before a new shooter begins his roll. The first roll of a new shooter is called a "come out roll". The shooter is the person that will be tossing the dice.
The visual sign that the next roll is the come out roll is the black puck on the craps table says "off". That means a new game is starting. This is the absolute best time to make a pass line bet.
If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, on the come out roll, you win your pass line bet.
If the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12, on the come out roll, you lose your pass line bet.
If the shooter rolls any other number, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 that number becomes the point number for the current game. The shooter must roll that number again before a seven is rolled. If that happens, you win even money for your pass line bet. If a seven is rolled before the point number is rolled again, you lose your pass line bet.
- Example: Come out Roll for Pass Line bet. New game starts. Puck is "off"
- IF 7 or 11 rolls, Pass Line Wins.
- IF a 2, 3 or 12 rolls the pass line loses.
- The Dice roll is a 9 on the come out roll. The puck is turned on to the white side that says "on" and placed on the number 9 so everyone knows what the point to the current game is. The pass line wager did not win or lose on the come out roll.
- The next roll is a 5. It does not matter to the pass line bet.
- The next roll is an 8. It does not matter to the pass line bet.
- The next roll is a 9. Pass Line bet wins because the #9 rolled before the #7.
These summary lists help to point out the important information contained in the preceding paragraph.
Gambling is all about winning and losing.
Winning and losing bets come in what is
called streaks or runs.
The win streak or run can be one at a time or 2 or more in a row. Same with losing streaks. One can lose just one time before a win or one can also lose 2 or more times in a row before the next win happens.
