1. Straight-up: A single number bet. The chip is placed entirely on the center of a number square.
Pays 35 to 1. There are 38 straight up bets on a double zero layout.
2. Split: a bet on two adjoining numbers, either on the vertical or horizontal (as in 8-11 or 27-30).
    The chip is placed on the line between these numbers.
    Pays 17 to 1. There are 62 split bets on a double zero layout.

3. Corner: a bet on four numbers in a square layout (as in 14-15-17-18).
    The chip is placed at the horizontal and vertical intersection
    of the lines between the four numbers.

4. Street: a bet on three numbers on a single horizontal line.
The chip is placed on the edge of the line between the inside bets and the outside bets.

    with the chip placed at the corresponding intersection on the line between the inside bets

1 to 18: a bet on one of the first eighteen numbers. Also named "Low" on some layouts.
19 to 36: a bet on one of the last eighteen numbers. Also named "High" on some layouts.
Red or Black: a bet on which color the roulette wheel will show.
Even or Odd: a bet on an even or odd number. (0 and 00 are not even or odd numbers)

Dozen Bets: a bet on the first 12 numbers (1-12), second twelve numbers (13-24), or third twelve (25-36) .
Column Bets: a bet on all 12 numbers in any of the three columns. The bet boxes say 2 to 1.
