Roulette chips can be any denominations that the casino sets and allows,
25 cents, 50 cents, $1, $2, $5 or more.
When you buy in tell the dealer, or if you forget the dealer will ask
you what denomination you want to play with. All your chips will be worth the same value.
The dealer will place a chip, the same color that you are playing with, on the edge of the wheel and a lammer with the value for a stack of 20 chips. This is how the dealer and the casino can remember what value chips you are playing with
and help when it comes time to cash in your roulette chips for casino
cheques. Most casinos will not mark a chip that is played at the minimum value.
Do not take your roulette chips away from the roulette table. They have no value at any other casino game table and the casino cage or cashier will not cash them for you.
Some casinos will let you play cash on the outside even money bets like red or black but they need the time to announce your bet. Do not be surprised if they say "No Bet" to your cash wager if they do not have the time to change your cash to a money cheque before the ball drops and they call "No More Bets".
The dealer will call "No More Bets" and wave his hand over the table before the ball drops in the wheel. The player is NOT allowed to make bets or touch the bets that have all ready been made AFTER the call of "No More Bets".
Do not make any new bets on the roulette table until AFTER the dealer has removed ALL the losing wagers and has paid ALL the winning wagers. The dealer will remove the marker from the winning number and then announce "Place your bets". This is now the time to make your bets.
Allow other players some space as they lean into the table to place bets. It is considered good table etiquette to help in placing other players bets for them. The dealer will always help in placing bets far away from the player. Do not be in a hurry as the dealer wants all bets placed so it is clear what the bet is.
Keep all drinks in the supplied table drink holders at all times when you are not drinking. It is so very easy to knock drinks over onto the table layout. Most casinos will allow a pencil and paper to be on the table but keep those items far away from the betting area. Your lap would be the best place.
Have fun playing the game of Roulette.
